AI visibility for UK local businesses
Does AI recommend your business?
When customers ask ChatGPT or Google AI for the best café, plumber or physio in town, only a handful of businesses get named. We check who — for 83 kinds of business across 796 UK towns.

How it works
Three steps, done for you
-
We ask
We ask ChatGPT and Google AI for the best barber, café or accountant in your town — the way a customer would — again and again.
-
We count
Answers change from one search to the next, so we count how often each business is named — not just once.
-
You see where you stand
Your free check shows how often you're named, who AI picks instead, and what they have that you don't.

Two AIs, two different answers
One AI search doesn't tell you much
One answer is an opinion. Repeated answers become data. We ask the same question every day and count how often each business is named — because both AIs change their minds.
Google AI
2 of 4 names come back
Google AI Mode names about 4 businesses. Ask again the next day and about 2 of them are named again — a short list, and not a settled one.
ChatGPT
2 of 5 names come back
ChatGPT names about 5, and about 2 of them come up again the next day. More businesses get a mention, and more of them keep it — but plenty still drop out.
Which is why we ask every day and count, rather than screenshotting one answer and calling it a ranking.
From our 277k AI searches run across both AI platforms.

Questions
Good to know
Can I pay to be recommended by AI?
No — and nobody can sell you that. ChatGPT and Google AI decide for themselves. What we can show you is which businesses they pick, how often, and what those businesses have in common, so you know where to put your effort.
How do you check?
We ask ChatGPT and Google AI the question a customer would — "best plumber in Chichester" — and record every business they name. Answers change from one search to the next, so we ask many times and show how often each business comes up.
Which AI answers do you check?
ChatGPT, and Google's AI Mode — the AI tab in Google search. Not AI Overviews, the summary that sits above the blue links, and not Gemini as a separate app: those are different surfaces and can name different businesses. We check the two a customer is most likely to be using when they ask for a recommendation.
What does the free check include?
How often each AI names your business, who they recommend instead, and the first thing those businesses have that you don't. No sign-up.
How long before anything changes?
Nothing changes overnight. Claiming a profile or getting listed somewhere AI reads can take weeks to show up in its answers, and some things never do — the AIs decide, not us. What you can see straight away is where you stand today, and daily checks show you the moment that shifts.
